After two years employment as a commercial appraiser with AL Appraisal Company, he established an appraisal department for Paramount Bank in Bakersfield. Launer & Associates, Inc. was established in 1989. Since that time, in addition to full-time operation of the firm, Michael served two terms as President of the Bakersfield Chapter of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers, two terms as President of the Appraisal Institute Bakersfield Chapter and served in various Appraisal Institute positions in Region VII. He has taught appraisal course for both appraisal organizations as well as at Bakersfield College.
